Repertoire
Spring 2008 season, which celebrated B.C.’s 150th anniversary, included three world premieres. The highlight of the program was two works by Vancouver
choreographers. Our fourth commission to a Canadian choreographer was Josh Beamish, former Kelowna resident.
He choreographed the very dynamic “The Red Nocturnal”.
Ballet Kelowna also presented “Etude” by Kay Armstrong. Choreographed in 1949, “Etude” was the critical hit of the 1950 Ballet Festival in Montreal. Also included; “Flower Festival at Genzano Pas de Deux.” And two new works by Artistic Director David LaHay
